Every teen deserves to know they matter.

Start With the Heart Retreats

A faith-centered mountain retreat where teens can feel seen, build meaningful connections, discover the love of Jesus, and grow in love and compassion for themselves.

Our hope is that they leave knowing: I am seen. I am loved. My story matters. And I don’t have to face what comes next alone.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Sometimes the hardest part of being a teen is feeling like you have to carry it all alone.

Anxiety that’s hard to explain. The ache of losing someone. Changes at home. Friendships that hurt. Feeling left out—even in a room full of people. Wondering whether you’re enough, or where you belong.

Start With the Heart creates space to set some of that weight down.

Space to laugh, breathe, reflect, and be yourself. To connect with other teens and caring adults who take the time to listen. To discover that you don’t have to earn love by being perfect—and that Jesus loves you, right where you are.

Through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, journaling, worship, and ongoing connection, we help teens recognize their worth and practice extending that same love and compassion to themselves.

They don’t need to arrive with the right words. They don’t need to have everything figured out.
